2. Overview
BeatMatch is an app developed specifically for vinyl DJs for BPM detection and beatmatching, with optional Apple Watch connectivity. With a compatible class-compliant audio interface, the app can analyze two stereo input channels from a mixer simultaneously. This Privacy Policy explains which data the app processes, why it is processed, and which data the developer does not collect.
3. Data Processed by BeatMatch
Microphone access
BeatMatch can access the microphone or the inputs of a connected audio interface to analyze incoming audio signals and calculate BPM values. With a compatible multichannel mixer, two stereo input channels can be processed simultaneously. Audio processing takes place locally on the device. Audio data is not transmitted to the developer's servers and is not permanently stored by the developer.
Locally stored settings
The app stores settings locally on the device so that it can function as expected. These may include color themes, BPM and analysis settings, audio-interface and channel assignments, and Apple Watch display and haptic settings.
Trial and daily usage allowance
BeatMatch stores the Apple-verified start time of the free trial and the amount of daily Auto BPM time already used locally and securely on the device. This information is used only to provide the free feature allowance and is not transmitted to the developer's servers.
In-App Purchases
Activation of the free 7-day trial and the optional one-time BeatMatch Pro purchase are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The app reads Apple-verified transactions to provide the correct access period and features. Payment and credit-card information is not processed or stored by BeatMatch or the developer.
Apple Watch communication
If you use a compatible Apple Watch, BeatMatch can exchange functional data between iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This may include BPM values, deck states, access status, and relevant display settings. This communication is used solely to provide app functionality between your own devices.
4. Data BeatMatch Does Not Collect
BeatMatch does not currently collect user accounts, names, email addresses within the app, location data, advertising identifiers, tracking data, analytics or telemetry data, cloud profiles, server-side usage data, or payment information on behalf of the developer. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
5. Purpose and Legal Basis
Where personal data is processed, it is processed to provide the app's functionality, based on your consent for required system permissions, particularly microphone access, and because it is technically necessary for the app's local operation.
6. Storage, Deletion, and Withdrawal
Locally stored settings generally remain on your device until you change or reset them, delete the app, or manually remove device data. To prevent repeated use of the free trial, the locally stored trial status may remain on the same device after reinstalling the app. A verified BeatMatch Pro purchase can be restored through Apple. The developer does not store this information on a server.
You can withdraw microphone access at any time in system settings under Privacy & Security > Microphone. Tap BPM remains available without this permission, but live audio analysis does not.
7. Disclosure and Third-Party Services
No personal data is disclosed to the developer for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes. When you use Apple platforms, WatchConnectivity, or In-App Purchases, Apple may process technical or transaction-related data under Apple's applicable terms and privacy information. Apple is responsible for that processing.
8. Your Rights
Where applicable, data-protection law may provide rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, data portability, and withdrawal of consent with future effect.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app's functionality or legal requirements change. The currently published version applies.
